Because you're probably wondering what in the world Splankna means: "Splankna” is New Testament Greek for “bowels.” In first century poetry and literature, the term was used the way we use the word “subconscious” today… like a “gut sense” or “deep awareness.” Splankna work taps into the “deep”, subconscious root of symptoms. It is also seen in scripture where the Bible says Jesus was moved with deep compassion
before healing or delivering people.

Let's face it. We've all had stuff in life that has kinda messed us up. A lot of it has messed up our view of ourselves or of others or of God. The emotional triggers we have, along with skewed perceptions/ lies/ vows that we (often subconsciously) make, can keep us stuck in ruts and cycles for a lifetime. Some traumas/ agreements/ generational stuff are so strong that they even affect our physical bodies. The good news is we do not have to stay that way!

HOW DOES SPLANKNA WORK? Well, here is a very simplified answer: Splankna work combines body, soul and spirit in concert to resolve emotional trauma. When all three elements of the person are working together, the change is deep and lasting. Splankna attends to the way our bodies store emotions like frequencies. A simple combination of “touch and thought” allows the body to release these stored emotions, thus attending to the body and soul. When the stored trauma emotions behind a symptom are relieved, Splankna helps the client understand and remove the destructive vows and lies associated with those traumas. Through Biblical elements of confession, repentance and the authority of Jesus, we “break agreement” with symptoms on the ground level and things change – Body, Soul and Spirit. A Little About Me
Hello. My name is Jana Clark. I have been a certified Splankna Therapist for 10+ years now. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the Lord and His Word, and the human body. I also began to love to study how He designed the mind and relationships. However, I remember having the thought, "I do not know how I can try to really heal people without addressing the spirit, when that is such an important part of who we are." This therapy incorporates it all!
I had gone through 15 years of chronic illness and many traumas in my own life. I had gone to therapy, studied, prayed, and worked hard to heal, but when I experienced Splankna I was amazed at how I was set free in so many new ways. My husband and I immediately knew it was part of what I was created to do. I absolutely LOVE seeing God heal and restore! I LOVE shining light onto the lies of the enemy and seeing people realize the TRUTH of their identity, value, significance, and potential. This therapy is just one of many methods the Lord can use to bring healing, but it's pretty amazing! I believe many of the tools gives our finite brains a place to begin to understand the brilliant design/connection between our mind, body, and spirit.

The Splankna Training Institute is passionate about holistic psychology honoring Jesus. We offer a Christian protocol for Mind-Body Work adapting elements from Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.), Thought-Field Therapy (T.F.T.), E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and spiritual warfare. It filters out New Age philosophies and harnesses God's remarkable created mechanisms in the body-mind connection. It provides a highly effective treatment procedure for quickly alleviating a wide range of psychological symptoms. It addresses client challenges comprehensively, attending to the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the problem and the solution."
Initial Visit (90 minutes) $75
Initial visit comes with a
free 30 minute consultation, so the first visit will be 90 minutes total.
The extra 30 minutes can be used to visit and have questions answered before session. Or, it can just leave room in the session for extra discussion.
Single Splankna Session (60 minutes) $75
Our session will always begin with prayer asking Jesus and the Holy Spirit to cover and protect and lead whatever we are going to work on. From there we decide if we should do "Healing work" or "Creative work" that day.
Following most sessions you will be given homework/scripture to help solidify the work we have done until we meet again.
Intensives
These are geared toward (but not limited to) out-of-town clients that want to come into town for a couple of days or fly me out for multiple sessions. I usually do around 4-6 hours in a day. Contact me to visit about making a plan.
3 questions I get asked most often:
1) How often do I need to come?
This really depends on the situation. If you are having a really hard time coping and/or have intense trauma to heal, you may want to come weekly or every other week for a while. However, one thing I love about Splankna is that we tend to get a lot done rather quickly; so most of my Clients only come once or twice a month with some "homework" in between.
2) Do you take insurance?
I cannot take insurance at this point. However, I have found that because of the efficiency of the therapy that fewer sessions are needed, so it actually ends up being cheaper than long term co-pays.
3) Can non-Christians do Splankna?
You bet! As long as you are okay with me praying in the name of Jesus.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
- I believe there is one God, with personhood. He is not “energy.” He is the God of the Bible and He created all that is.
- I believe the Bible is divinely inspired.
- I believe that God is both separate from us and hierarchically above us, perfectly sovereign and perfectly good.
- I believe that while God continually animates His creation, He remains distinct from it.
- I believe that God came in flesh as the second person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ.
- I believe He died on the Cross to account for the sin of mankind, reconcile us back to himself and to defeat the enemy, sin and death. He rose from the grave and is alive today. Eternal life is only found through faith in Him.
- I believe He is returning to make all things new and until then, He has given us His Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, as our educator, comforter, empowerer and guide.
- I believe God desires our wholeness and wants His glory to shine through each of us. I believe that if we ask Him to move on our Hearts in healing, He will.
- I do believe that those of us that follow Christ must take up our cross. That road of taking up our cross and following Him in this broken world is not always going to be easy; but I also believe that New Life through Him, being filled with HIS SPIRIT should and does change everything in us and around us. I believe that most of us settle for so much less than what He paid for! I believe He came to proclaim the good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, give sight to the blind, and set captives free; And that still applies for today!
- I believe all things were created by Him and that our different sciences and understanding are just a beginning point of His brilliance and design; so we continually place it all in His hands and let Him redeem it and use it however He sees fit. We must put the Creator of it all back on the throne and point all Power and Glory to Him.
MY HEART
- I desire to partner with the Lord to see people healed emotionally, spiritually, and physically so that they can live the life they were created for and He planned out before them.
- I desire to partner with the Lord to help individuals heal so that they can become better spouses and parents.
- I desire to see His children/His church get whole and healthy so that we can look and act more like Him; and the Bride can be ready for His return.
- I desire to help people learn how to partner with Him, His Word, and His Spirit so that they do not need me or Splankna very often or ever.
- I long for the day that all of our churches are so in tune and surrendered to His Spirit and goodness and wisdom and power that nobody needs outside counseling... and I have to find another job!
